Scholarships & Bursaries

Think you can’t afford us? Think again!

*** All scholarships were awarded on December 18, 2023 for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Affordability can be a significant factor for families considering sending their sons to St. Andrew’s College. To ensure accessibility for deserving students, SAC has a robust Scholarship & Bursary program supported by a combination of the school’s endowment and a portion of operating revenue. This program plays a crucial role in promoting diversity, excellence, and inclusivity within the Andrean community.

Approximately 26% of the student population benefits from a scholarship or bursary, amounting to a budget of over $3 million annually. Scholarships at SAC are merit-based and awarded to students upon their entrance. The school diligently evaluates every aspect of a student’s application, and prospective students compete against others in their grades for these awards.

Bursaries are granted to families who require financial assistance to make St. Andrew’s a reality. The application process must be completed and meet SAC’s acceptance criteria. Parents must file a Financial Aid for Canadian Students (FACS) application through Apple Financial Services to qualify for a bursary. The Financial Aid Committee reviews each family’s application, and while SAC provides substantial bursary support, unfortunately, due to limitations, not all deserving candidates can be accommodated.

It’s important to note that SAC’s philosophy does not provide full scholarship or bursary support. Instead, the school seeks to partner with families to bridge the financial gap between their demonstrated need and the full cost of education at SAC. Families are expected to invest in their child’s education to a comfortable extent, reinforcing a commitment to the value of education.

By offering a robust Scholarship & Bursary program, SAC demonstrates its commitment to promoting inclusivity and diversity and ensures that deserving students from various backgrounds can access a high-quality education. This practice aligns with the school’s social responsibility and contributes to the development of well-rounded, accomplished individuals who are prepared to thrive in a globalized world.
