Our Health and Wellness Centre is dedicated to the total well-being of our students and staff, to enable them to attain and maintain the highest level of wellness – physically, spiritually, emotionally, and psychologically.

The Health and Wellness Centre is in a wing of Macdonald House. It is a safe place where dignity and confidentiality are honoured. The school physician and nurses work closely with other school professionals to meet student health, development, and educational needs. A school nurse is available in-person and on call 24 hours a day.

School nurses are qualified to handle emergency medical problems at school and request further medical help. CPR, AED, and first aid training are provided to all staff every two years. A Medical Response Team comprised of staff members from various departments receives more intensive training twice yearly.

Support and counselling services are also available. Students experiencing stress, relationship problems, anxiety, or other concerns are encouraged to speak to the nurse or physician. Discussions with students are private, and information is not shared with other people without the student’s permission unless there is a concern that someone is in danger.

Some of the services available at the Health Centre:
  • Nurse consultations
  • Immunizations and allergy shots
  • Medication dispensary
  • Doctor appointments
  • Counselling services
  • Lending library
  • Employee wellness program
In addition, our Circle of Care program is run through the Health Centre. This student-centric initiative utilizes all staff and faculty to identify student concerns. This program is a proactive measure to address concerns surrounding students’ health and mental well-being.
We are committed to building a sense of belonging in our community.
By dedicating ourselves to creating a diverse, inclusive, and equitable environment, we will foster and accept the unique individuality of each of our citizens, ensuring all members feel valued and respected.
