What do St. Andrew’s Cadets have in common with a prince, a rock star, and a president? They’ll all be at the Invictus Games, an adaptive sporting event for injured, ill, and wounded servicemen and women and veterans, established by Prince Harry.
This week is Freedom to Read Week across Canada. Our right to choose what we read is enshrined in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Sue Hayter, School Librarian, believes that’s worth celebrating: “The freedom to choose what we read – intellectual freedom – is a cornerstone of democracy. In Canada, we are lucky to have the choice - whether we agree with the point of view or not.”
