St. Andrew’s College begins its 119th year, its 91st in Aurora, as school starts back this morning.
The year starts with New Family Orientation Days Tuesday (grades 9 to 11) and Wednesday (grades 5 to 8). Prefects are stationed on campus to help welcome students and their families, as are boarding house faculty and residents, eager to help newcomers settle into their rooms.
The first day of classes is Thursday, Sept. 8, starting with a full-school assembly at 8:30 a.m. in Ketchum Auditorium/Wirth Theatre. Students will follow a modified schedule on Thursday, and Friday is the first full day of classes.
Things happen at a fast pace at St. Andrew’s, so parents are reminded to check our school’s website regularly for event information. Some dates you’ll want to add to your calendar include the Parent Reception on Thursday, Sept. 14, Homecoming on Saturday, Sept. 30, and An Andrean Christmas at Roy Thomson Hall on Friday, Dec. 8.
Watch for “A Look Ahead” each Friday when it arrives in your inbox. It contains a wealth of information. If you don’t receive the e-newsletter, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to have your email added.
Check out SAC’s Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts for regular updates, news, and information. Starting September 20, our online portal, Edsby, will be refreshed with 2017-18 data to provide pertinent information on things such as student assignment deadlines, a summary of daily lessons, upcoming events, student financial statements, attendance records, and grades.
