Old Boys blow away competition at world pipe championship

Congratulations to Andrew Douglas '03 and Kegan Sheehan '09, who captured the World Pipe Band Championship in Glasgow with Scotland's Inveraray and District Pipe Band this week.
Inverarary has been building to this point for many years and has been a fan favourite for the last few seasons. On Saturday, they knocked off Belfast's legendary Field Marshall Montgomery Pipe Band, which has won 11 World Championships in the last 15 years.
This is the second season Andrew and Kegan have played with the band, commuting to Scotland from New York State for the five major summer championships. Both are talented pipers and big strong boys, both necessary qualities to play at this high level under such pressure, and attending a bare minimum of practices over the course of the year.
This is a great accomplishment for a couple of our Old Boys.
Here is a link to the BBC feed of the band's winning medley performance.
