An Andrean Christmas: A Night of Music, Magic, and Memories
Roy Thomson Hall once again sparkled with holiday spirit as St. Andrew’s College hosted its annual An Andrean Christmas concert, a cherished tradition that brings the community together in celebration of the season.
The evening featured an incredible lineup: Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, Pipes & Drums, Middle School Band, Symphonic Band, and the Andrean Voices, joined by talented guests from St. Anne’s School and the SAC & SAS Dramatic Society.
From Grade 5 toy soldiers marching in festive formation to whimsical polar bears and vibrant skits, the stage was alive with creativity and joy. Head of School, Kevin McHenry, and Board Chair, Mark Etherington '92, even received a surprise visit on stage from Santa Claus himself!
A particularly moving segment saw the Old Boys gather on stage, joining current students to sing Amazing Grace and the Dorset Carol. For graduates, the night was bittersweet, a final chance to share in this magical tradition as students before they embark on new journeys.
The concert also celebrated the visual arts, with stunning displays of student artwork featured in the program and projected on the screens, showcasing the exceptional talent of SAC’s Middle and Upper School artists.
An Andrean Christmas continues to shine as a celebration of music, art, and community spirit. It is certainly an unforgettable way to welcome the holiday season!
