Second race of season for Alpine Ski Team

The SAC ski team travelled to Alpine Ski Club for their second race (GS) of the season today.
Level 2 Boys
After the first run, the L2 team stood solidly in first, well ahead of any other team in the division. The afternoon proved to be more challenging for the L2 Saints, however, as a couple of crashes and a disqualification ultimately erased the results of two of our well-placed finishers from the first run. Despite these unfortunate finishes, the depth of the Saints was readily apparent as other racers posted solid results to ensure the team victory for SAC. Next week will be the true test for the team with three of its top racers away.
Top Level 2 Results:
Aidan Waters - 1st Place
Lucas Henderson - 4th Place
Ryan Henderson - 9th Place
Jake Allen - 17th Place
Level 1 Boys
The level 1 team found the conditions challenging today as our top two racers caught edges, fell, and ultimately were either disqualified or posted times that were not competitive. Despite this, our #3 to #5 racers immediately took the challenge and had simply fantastic runs, earning them the 4th, 5th and 6th spot after the morning race. In the afternoon we continued to ski very well but unfortunately were unable to catch the strong team from St. Mike's. The 2nd place finish was still an excellent finish for the L1 Saints who now sit tied atop of the standings.
Top Level 1 Finishers:
Sebastian Murphy Ives - 4th Place
Alex Bordage - 5th Place
Inigo de la Marcorra - 9th Place
Kieran Walters - 14th Place
Cole Lapshinoff - 15th Place
U14 Boys
The U14 team was inconsistent today, with a couple of mental errors causing miscues on course. Despite this, a number of the team members earned their personal best finishes for SAC. Roan Binnendyk led the charge finishing in 10th place, followed by Jaxon Iatan, who was 11th. Their finishes helped the team earn a very respectable 3rd place finish overall.
Top U14 Finishers:
Roan Binnendyk - 9th Place
Jaxon Iatan - 10th Place
Ethan Baxter - 16th Place
Next week we travel to Devil's Glen to compete in our first slalom race of the year.
