JV Soccer relies on late-game heroics at Appleby College

The JV soccer squad traveled to Appleby College this afternoon.
In a back and forth affair, each team took turns applying pressure, though much of the action happened close to half. The boys allowed the first goal of the game on a defensive end breakdown, but they battled back and Connor Thomas converted on a messy corner kick to tie the game 1-1 going into half time.
In the second half, the Saints carried more of the play, but had trouble creating true opportunities on net. With two minutes remaining, their persistence paid off when Spence Berman redirected a shot into the open cage.
The 2-1 victory puts their record at 1-2 with a match against Ridley on the horizon.
