Cadets fall exercises a job well done

Congratulations and well done to all for a great "Trillium Falcon 2017" exercise last week. It was an exciting start to the school year, with our entire school body engaged in outdoor activities.
In the Upper School Cadet programs, our students were:
  • hiking
  • mountain biking
  • canoeing
  • cooking outdoors
  • studying flora and fauna
  • learning GPS skills
  • developing biathlon skills
  • orienteering
  • learning military field skills
  • practicing night navigation
  • training on the range
Our Wind Ensemble and Pipes & Drums Cadet members took part in a dynamic two-day music camp on campus.
Special thanks to faculty volunteers who helped with the various levels and activities, including faculty team leaders:
G9 Rattlesnake - Matt Jaekel, Matt Wyatt and all faculty for staying out for the entire expedition
G10 Expedition Training @ Kelso - Keith Ramon and Lucas Madill
G11 Expedition Leadership @ Kelso - Captain Mark Burton and Dave Stewart
G12 Senior Leaders Course @ Blackdown - Captain Gilbert and Lt Boyden with NCOs from the 48th Highlanders
Bands – Jim McGillivray, Sandi Chasson, and 2Lt Jamie Inglis, coordinator for the band camp.
Well done to all senior Cadets of the Cadet HQ for their outstanding leadership. The Team leaders agree this was one of the smoothest fall exercises we've ever had!
