Three of our triathletes were invited to York University for an early-season test of their abilities. Our boys did not disappoint.
The format of the race was not traditional due to the confined spacing on their campus and the limited number of racers allowed to participate (52). The swim and the bike were timed individually and added together to determine the "release order" for the start of the run.
Eric Asgari had a very fast swim during one of the opening segments, and Daniel Cheung had an incredibly powerful 15km bike (the fastest bike split of the day) to earn himself the race lead heading into the final event: the run.
After the five-loop run course was complete, two of our Andreans stood on the podium. 3rd place for Eric Asgari and 1st overall for Daniel Cheung.
Credit should also be given to Michael Kurp for earning the fourth fastest run split of the day.
After another few weeks of training, our boys will tackle the X-Man 10km obstacle course race.
