We invite applications for a full-time opportunity at St. Andrew's College in the role of dishwasher.  Cole Dining Hall has seating for up to 320 people and hosts day and boarding students and staff for 3-meals per day, in addition to special events and receptions.
The primary responsibilities of a dishwasher include:
  • Collect dishes and cooking utensils for washing
  • Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans, using dishwasher and/or by hand
  • Inspect dishes and utensils after washing to ensure cleanliness
  • Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas
  • Replenish clean supply of dishware and eating utensils
  • Clean and sterilize sinks
  • Clean dish room
  • Assist in unloading and storing supplies
  • Stock juice and milk machines
  • Sweep and mop kitchen and dining room floors
  • Move tables and chairs
  • Remove garbage, compost and recycling
  • Comply with Health and Safety under the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Comply with safe food handling and safe handling of cleaning chemicals (W.H.M.I.S)
We seek candidates with the following credentials:
  • Reliability and flexibility
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Position requires considerable walking and standing for long periods
  • A current Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check
Scheduled shifts will include evenings and weekends
