Canadian Computing Competition

The St. Andrew's team participated in the University of Waterloo's Canadian Computing Competition on Wednesday, Feb. 17, find excellent results.
In the senior division, Max Cruickshanks finished with a score of 67 out of 75, which is exceptional. It is the School's highest score ever in this competition. He hopes his result is good enough to advance him to the final round – The Canadian Computing Olympiad – to compete against the best of the best high school programmers in Ontario. As a Grade 11, his performance is truly outstanding.
Congratulations to Howe Wang, Grade 12, on finishing second and Tim Zhang, Grade 11, on finishing third from SAC participants. Honourable mention goes to Bryan Zhao, who was one point behind Tim as a Grade 10.
In the junior division, congratulations to Josh Magder, Grade 11, who ranked first with a score of 56 out of 75, Ethan Yen, Grade 11, on finishing second, and Colin McCarthy, Grade 11, for finishing third. Honourable mention goes to Matteo Cericola, who finished fifth as a Grade 9.
