Varsity Cricket with impressive CISAA league win

Despite the score line looking extremely close, the Varsity Cricket batters needed less than 20 minutes to pass TCS’s innings total, thus earning their first league win since 2016!
Mikey Bahen nearly passed the mark all by himself, scoring a quick 14 runs off a mere 7 balls faced. Only two of our batters were bowled out before the game ended.
Of course, such an easy target would not have been possible without the stellar bowling efforts of Ben van Eeden (5 wickets for only 5 runs yielded), Mikey (3 wickets for 2 runs) and Ujash Sharma earning 1 wicket for 3.
Andrean Rouges needed less than 9 overs to dispatch their opponents (10) "all out".
Bowlers were ably assisted by four difficult catches made deep in the field by Ujash (playing at "long off"), Graham Stanley-Paul ("long on"), Jack Cordingley ("square leg") and Warren (the younger) van Eeden at "covers".
After the game, our boys were graciously indulged by the home team with formal tea and snacks in their Great Hall. We hope to return similar hospitality, stopping short of gifting them any sort of victory when they return for a rematch here at SAC next Wednesday, May 22 at 2 pm.
