SAC Jr. Reach Team places third at York Regional tournament

The St. Andrew's College's team repeated their third-place standing again this year, at the Junior Reach Regional Tournament.
The event, which was held Wed., April 10, at St. Augustine Catholic High School in Markham, Ont., saw 13 schools compete. The Saints made the championship rounds by winning four out of five initial games in a field of 18 teams.
The Junior Saints team of Griffin Ardill (gr. 10), Jack Hutchison (gr. 10), Gordie McDonell (gr. 10), and Jason Zhang (gr.10) had a strong preliminary round, losing only one game to Toronto Montessori School (TMS), the eventual champions. The Saints pulled ahead of Thornhill Secondary School in the consolation final.
Congratulations to the boys on a fine tournament!
