Administrative Assistant - Upper School

We invite applications for a full-time opportunity at St. Andrew’s College in the role of Administrative Assistant - Upper School reporting to the Executive Assistant to the Head of School and the Senior Administrative Associate.
 
The Administrative Assistant will provide support and collaborate with the Upper School administration and faculty and will be a point of contact for Upper School students and parents. During lunch, the Administrative Assistant fulfills the responsibilities of the Receptionist, as the first point of contact for all school incoming calls, inquiries, visitors, couriers, and mail delivery.
 
Daily responsibilities include maintaining OSR’s for Upper School students, assisting with managing student absences, assisting in assigning daily coverage, and maintaining the student database. Further administrative support includes assisting with the planning and execution of Upper School Curriculum Night, parent/teacher conferences, assemblies, minute-taking at department head meetings, and coordination of Prize Day. The Administrative Assistant supports the preparation of Upper School exams, Upper School report card preparation, mailing, and proofing.
 
The ideal candidate will bring administrative experience, preferably in a school office, in addition to a post-secondary diploma or certificate. Proficiency with database management and office software is a requirement. Candidates must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task. An understanding of the Ministry requirements is an asset. As an ambassador of the school, we seek positive, collaborative, and solution-oriented applicants.
