Complete Weekend

For more than 25 years, SAC offered an exciting array of weekend activities to our students. From excursions to Niagara Falls and dogsledding adventures, to NBA basketball games and trips to the Ontario Science Centre, there was something for everyone.

In 2017, the program was rebranded "The Complete Weekend" and expanded to include four streams of events and activities. "Around the Town" uses the SAC shuttle bus to allow boys in running errands to the local mall, supermarket, or movie theatre. There are also walking tours of the local neighbourhood. "Build Life Skills" includes such things as an ACT course preparation course, automotive shop basics, cooking classes, standard first aid, and swimming and babysitting courses. "Classic Events" give students the chance to attend games by Toronto Blue Jays, Toronto Argonauts, Toronto FC Soccer, Toronto Raptors, shows and attractions in downtown Toronto, and weekend trips skiing. The fourth stream "Build Community" features muilticultural theme dinners, social events with girls' schools, and the opportunity to plan a trip of their choice.
These off-campus activities and events enrich the boys' residential life experience. Many of the trips and events are selected with the boarding students in mind, particularly those from outside of Canada, but all boarders enjoy the wide variety of adventures offered, and day boys are welcome to register as well.
All trips are properly supervised under the direction of Mark Burton, Assistant Housemaster of Flavelle House. Enrolment and consent forms are required well in advance. To learn more about our The Complete Weekend program and opportunities offered, please click here:
