As part of the OSSD diploma requirements, students must complete a minimum of 40 hours of community involvement activities in addition to academic requirements. These activities may be completed at any time during their years in the secondary-school program. This requirement is designed to encourage students to develop an awareness and understanding of civic responsibility and of the role they can play in supporting and strengthening their communities while further developing their leadership skills. The recorded number of student community service involvement hours appear on report cards. Students can visit our website for up-to-date information.
