Fine play at Shanty Bay

The Golf team played its final tournament of the year before the CISAA championship this week at Shanty Bay Golf Club. Both the Junior and Varsity teams entered this tournament in great position, poised to do some serious damage.
Other than some quick greens and tight fairways, the course did not present too many challenges. However, the weather and the bugs (early in the day only) certainly added an element on the day. Will McHenry shot the low round for the Saints and the second lowest of the day, shooting a 76. Chris Yi, playing exhibition for the Juniors, shot an incredible 2 over par for his round and we look forward to him scoring this week at the championship.
Both Ali Habib and Bryce Neil (who arrived to the bus on his bicycle and clubs!) had tremendous rounds, while Andrew Kraik and Matthew Medhurst scored 80 and 81 respectively.
With Michael Von Schalburg returning to action next week, our Varsity team heads to the championship as the #1 seed and a chance to secure the CISAA. The Junior boys sit fourth overall, but with scores like this past week, they could do some damage and surprise the field.
The CISAA Championship will be held next Wednesday at Westview Golf Club. Fans are always welcome!
