SAC Soccer Closes USA Tour With Two Straight Wins

The 1st Soccer team finished their USA Tour with a 2-2-2 record, including an impressive 1-0 win in Philadelphia to close out their six-match schedule south of the border.

On Tuesday, the SAC Saints topped one of Pennsylvania's top clubs, the Philadelphia Ukrainian Nationals, with a solid team performance and a thrilling individual effort from senior Ali Gharib '22. The Kenyan youth international danced past four defenders before firing home the game-winner. Barbados U20 starting goalkeeper Adam Mallalieu '22 collected the clean sheet.

SAC got their winning ways started on Sunday with a 2-0 victory over Burlington FC (Vermont). Cayman Island's freshman Jaxon Cover '25 scored first for the Saints, with senior co-captain Owen Bradbury '22 sealing the win with a curling free-kick from 22 yards out. Between the pipes, Gaven Toor '24 kept the Saints in the match with a trio of early point-blank saves to earn the shutout.

This November, USA Tour wraps up SAC's fall match-ups, and it's now back to the training pitch in preparation for a very busy winter and spring schedule.
