Artists of the Week showcase their amazing talents

Two of the Arts Council's most recent Artists of the Week can be found in this year's Focus Festival of the Arts.

This week, Andrew Ding, a talented multi-instrumentalist and visual artist, shares a few of his pieces and reveals how aspiring musicians in both the Upper and Middle Schools can prepare for their future auditions. Andrew's latest rendition of a popular Chopin etude is in this year's festival along with other Academy of Music student performances.

Focus continues today and tomorrow (May 6 and 7), then is over for another year. You can watch it here.

Last week's featured artist was Fynn McNolty, one of the actors taking centre stage in the virtual festival of drama, music, and art. Take a deep dive into the work that went into preparing for the lead role in the play, Dear Evan Hansen.  Fynn is in Grade 11 and brands himself as a musician, an artist, and an actor. You can check out both his and Andrew's segment on SAC's Instagram page here.
