SAC community will enjoy ‘An Andrean Christmas’ in 2020

This year's An Andrean Christmas, a holiday tradition for the entire SAC community, will look and feel a lot different this festive season.

In a typical year, the entire School travels to Toronto to perform at Roy Thomson Hall. But as we know, that's not possible in 2020. Instead, our musicians, artists, and actors will deliver their holiday performances virtually on Thursday, Dec. 17 at 8 p.m.

"No matter what, we wanted to make the show happen," says William Scoular, the show's director and SAC's Head of Drama and Film. "This year's production has prodded us to explore the digital potential of an ancient art form and requires a level of technical and creative complication that has kept all of us on our toes."

While it's disappointing for the boys, especially our graduating class, to miss out on Roy Thomson Hall this year, Head of School, Kevin McHenry, encourages them to look on the bright side. "At the end of the day, our young artists get to do what they love, the boys will have a permanent record of the show, and no one will have a bad seat!"
