SpringSmash 2018 fundraiser ramps up in second week
After two weeks of fundraising, the 2018 SpringSmash Fundraising Campaign has surpassed $13,000 and we are almost at 50 per cent of our goal! Thank you to everyone in the SAC community for your efforts to give children in Aurora/Newmarket a “sporting chance.”
The SpringSmash event is organized and implemented entirely by students in the grade 12 McEwen Leadership Program at St. Andrew's College to raise funds for Jumpstart charity. The entire school will participate in a half-day of organized sport and festival activities on May 24 to raise awareness and support for underprivileged kids and provide them the opportunity to participate in sport.
Our students recognize they are fortunate to be able to participate in a wide variety of sports and extra-curricular activities, and they want to help provide these same opportunities to others so that they can enjoy the benefits of sport participation and the “power of play” – leadership, friendship, self-esteem, and more.
Every $100 raised gives one child a chance to get in the game! Please support SpringSmash 2018 and help us reach our fundraising goal. Click here to visit the fundraising website: http://www.ctjumpstart.ca/SACSpringSmash2018
This year's SpringSmash event is sponsored and supported by Angus Glen Golf Club, Treasure Mills School Safe, Serpa Automotive Boutique, and Jancon Construction Ltd.
