jack.org council shares mental health facts and stats
SAC’s latest initiative to eliminate the stigma of mental health attracted quite the crowd in Cole Hall this week.
Our jack.org council discussed several important statistics and facts regarding mental health with Andreans throughout the entire lunch period on Tuesday, April 10.
Students, faculty, and staff simply wrote down three of the facts that resonated with them onto a ballot for a chance to win a $25 Tim Hortons gift card.
Hundreds of ballots were entered and two winners were drawn. Although only two individuals received a gift card, everyone was a winner, as they learned about the importance of mental health for every member of society.
While only one in five Canadians is currently struggling with a mental health issue, all Canadians should prioritize their state of mental health.
Our jack.org council is part of the national network of young leaders tasked with transforming the way people think about mental illness.
