Welcome to the 35th edition of the MacPherson Hockey Tournament, offering three days of fast-paced and competitive games hosted by SAC’s Varsity team January 26 to 28.

Accepting the invitation this year are competitors from Ontario, Quebec, and Alberta as well as teams in the U.S. from New York, New Hampshire, and Maine. We are also thrilled to be hosting Jungadler Mannheim, a team from Germany that will be playing at the MacPherson Tournament for the first time. We appreciate the participation of teams that travel so far to play at SAC.

Your Varsity Hockey Saints travelled to Mannheim, Germany the last two years to compete in the DEL Junior Cup. After winning the tournament in their first appearance, the Saints were eliminated from championship contention last summer by Jungadler Mannheim. We’re anticipating an exciting re-match between the home team and the visitors from Germany in the Friday evening game at the La Brier Family Arena.

The MacPherson Tournament is a great opportunity for fans to witness some of the most talented players from around the world in high school hockey. Many of these young athletes will go on to play at the university, junior, or professional levels. It’s also a weekend for players to go up against top-quality opponents in an arena that values sportsman-like conduct and respect for others.

Good luck to all players, have a great tournament, and most of all have fun!
Sincerely,

Kevin McHenry
