The young St. Andrew's 1st Team cruised through the group stages, quarters and semis at the CAIS National Soccer Championship, before getting outmuscled in the final and dropping a 2-1 decision to Crescent School.
This week the advisory theme for the Upper School students was indigenous rights and the boys were given orange ribbons to wear in honour of the children who were taken from their homes to residential schools.
As candidates from the ridings of Newmarket-Aurora and Aurora-Oak Ridges-Richmond Hill gathered at St. Andrew’s Valley Golf Club Monday, one St. Andrew’s College student played a major role in the Aurora Chamber of Commerce All Candidates Federal Debate.
Wednesday afternoon, in between thunderstorms, our (undefeated and yet to be scored on this season) Toronto visitors put on a clinic of skilled passing, perfectly-timed checking, and sure-footed finishing.
The St. Andrew's College 1st Soccer Team extended their winning streak to six games, with two more victories this past week. Leading the way was new-boy Eduardo Kuri ’23, who buried three goals on Homecoming weekend.
Homecoming is when current and former students to come together and build up school spirit. At St. Andrew’s, this day of festivities and fun is set for Saturday, Sept. 28 and the campus will be decked out for the fall celebration.
