A class of grade 5 boys learned teamwork is the key to success.
The boys in ClaudiaRose-Donahoe’s class were given a challenge this week by Lori Lu, our Library & Archives Technician, who organized the Olympic Dreams break-out game in the Archives Room. Similar to an escape room concept, the boys had to follow clues to figure out combinations to different types of locks.
The aim of the game was to locate a missing passport that would allow them to travel to the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games.
The children were enthusiastic in their approach, digging into a suitcase searching for clues and working together to find the correct combinations to a variety of locks: word, number, and key.
At the end of the class the passport was located, all the locks had been opened, and the boys were sent off on their metaphorical trip to attend the Games in South Korea.
