Three vaulters OFSAA bound

Six SAC vaulters competed in the OFSAA metro qualifier and five of the six set personal bests during the competition.

The vault competition started at 3:00 p.m. and ended at 8:00 p.m. This region is one of the best in Ontario for the vault with an OFSAA gold and bronze medalist in the mix. In the midget vault, Cole Nip qualified for OFSAA with a personal best of 2.75 meters, narrowly missing 2.9 meters.

In the Sr. completion, Joseph Yazdani is going back to the 'show' for his third OFSAA appearance. He had the meet of his life setting a personal best at 3.35 meters, narrowly missing 3.5 meters. Callum Murphy and Josh Mwinyogle had a jump-off for the final OFSAA berth with Callum clearing 3.35 meters on his first attempt.

A great day for the SAC vaulting crew. Congrats to Neebeesh Elliott and Artem Kotchanov for also setting personal bests and just barely missing the chance to compete at OFSAA.
