Students celebrate Upper School achievement at Prize Day

The entire student population – 652 boys this year – gathered for the Opening Assembly Thursday in Ketchum Auditorium.

Head Prefect Willem Grier challenged boys to “discover SAC” this month. He revealed the Prefect theme for the year is Discovery, and he is urging boys in Middle and Upper School to learn about the campus, try out for teams, and join councils and committees in September. He also reminded them to enjoy Homecoming on Sept. 22, a day “we can all get a taste of how impressive the SAC community is.”

Following the assembly was an Upper School celebration of achievement for students who were in grades 9, 10, and 11 last year. (Middle School and Graduate’s Prize Days are held at the end of the school year.)
