St. Andrew’s College is welcoming 652 boys to school this week.
We are entering our 120th year (92 in Aurora) when school officially starts Sept. 6. This year we have the highest population yet with 260 boarders and 392 day boys; there are 180 Middle School students while the Upper School has 472. The 2019 graduation class will have 123 students. The Admission office reports there are 29 countries (including Canada) represented this year and we have boys hailing from six provinces.
Doors will open Tuesday, Sept. 4 with a New Family Orientation Day for new boys entering grades 9, 10, and 11 and their families. The next day, there will be a New Family Orientation Day for new boys entering grades 5 through 8 and their families. An opening full-school assembly will take place at 8:40 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 6 in Ketchum Auditorium. The first full day of classes is Sept. 7.
Parents are reminded to check the school’s website regularly for event information. Some dates you’ll want to add to your calendar include the Welcome-Back-to-School Parent Reception
on Thursday, Sept. 13; Homecoming on Saturday, Sept. 22; and An Andrean Christmas at Roy Thomson Hall
on Friday, Dec. 14.

Starting Sept. 25, our online portal, Edsby, with be refreshed with 2018-19 data in order to provide pertinent information to parents on student assignment deadlines, a summary of daily lessons, upcoming events, student financial statements, attendance records, and grades. Note: Sept. 25 is also Upper School Curriculum Night.
