• Classroom Innovation

Our faculty are committed to providing a stimulating classroom experience that leverages the latest research in the areas of pedagogy and technology.

  • Explore the World

SAC students have the opportunity to travel with their peers to Europe, Africa, Asia and South America through programs such as SASSAW and the Battlefields Trip.

  • Celebrate the Arts

Pride in Performance: SAC students are poets, musicians, actors, painters, and film makers.

  • Experience Boarding Life

Living away from home teaches independence, life skills, and will allow your son to take even greater advantage of the co-curricular evening programs. Save the travel time to and from school!

  • Athletics: Competition & Competency

The School’s second Headmaster from 1900-1935, Rev. D. Bruce Macdonald, did not want students in the stands; he wanted students on the playing fields! That remains a central focus of the St. Andrew's approach today.

University Counselling

The University Counselling team is committed to providing a comprehensive and customized service to students in their high school years. We see our role as facilitating young men in making decisions for their future based on well planned and careful research. For each graduating class, we have well developed strategies and processes to direct students to resources during the periods of information gathering, monitor their progress during the application cycles, and help refine their choices when making final decisions.

In grade 10, we meet each student in class to help them discover more about themselves. We also explain how the academic and co-curricular programs at St. Andrew’s prepare students for admission to and success in their post-secondary studies. In subsequent years, we work with faculty, administration and parents to provide forums for students to learn about different careers. Each fall, we host an annual Canadian Universities' Fair and numerous individual university visits from admission personnel from across Canada and in the U.S. We also take students on tours of a variety of university and college campuses in Canada and the U.S.

We believe our role is to guide, counsel, recommend, refer, suggest and inform in a way that ultimately finds each student’s best fit for his future. Some boys seek our assistance daily; others we see weekly; and still others know and manage to decide independently. We are dedicated to seeing the development of each of our graduates’ understanding of himself in his road to independence and future as a man who will make a positive contribution to the lives of others.
