The return of many of the former camp’s staff members ensures the camp will continue to deliver the high quality service our families have come to expect. St. Andrew’s College is fortunate to have Bart Loria, a St. Andrew’s College Summer Camp senior staff member since the first season in 2000, return to direct the camp. His involvement with a variety of camps, combined with his experience as a coach, physical education teacher, and high school guidance counsellor, provide Bart with the expertise required to oversee administration, staff training, program development, and the day-to-day operations of the camp.
Bart has ensured the quality of programming by hiring coaches that are full-time teachers and university students completing degrees in Education. Our coaches collectively bring their love of sport, their positive “fun first” attitudes, and their numerous varsity, provincial, and national level playing experiences to the team.
Our counsellors are specially selected for their experience and interest in working with children. As front-line members of our team, the counsellors receive over 20 hours of pre-camp training that compliments many of our staff members’ certifications in First Aid/CPR. Our Swim Staff have their NSL certification and have completed their Water Safety training.
