The Passing of Coach Ackerman

It is with heavy hearts that we share the sad news of the passing of former St. Andrew's College teacher and coach, Gordon Ackerman. Gord passed away Sunday, Feb. 26 at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie, Ont., at the age of 83.
Mr. Ackerman coached the First Football team for 21 years from 1973-1994 through five championships, a thousand Andrean players, numerous assistant coaches, and several thousand football fans.
Beloved husband of Joan for more than 60 years and loving father of Jim (Anne), Tom (Susan), and Gay (Moss). Proud “Poppy” of Emily, Scott, Halle, Jackson, and Connor. Dear brother of Doris.
