French students create scavenger hunt en français
Posted: June 11, 2012
As a fun and interactive way to end the school year, the grade 6 Core and Enriched French classes worked in conjunction to create and run a scavenger hunt in French with the final destination the popular café, Starbuck’s.
A competitive way to connect with the theme studied in class this year, ‘Au restaurant’, the scavenger hunt was an excellent pre-activity to the planned trip to Port Soirée, a quaint, independently owned French restaurant café in Schomberg.
The activity was a special treat for the boys in recognition of the hard work they demonstrated in class this year. Once they reached the café, the winning group won their beverage of choice. But all the boys were responsible for placing their orders in French.
