HEADMASTER'S WELCOME
Welcome to St. Andrews College! It is with great anticipation that I look forward to beginning my tenure as Headmaster of this fine school. The 2009/2010 year will mark the schools 111th year. I am very confident that this will be another outstanding year at the College. We will undoubtedly share many successes together in the multitude of activities that the boys will be engaged in throughout the school year.
In the coming weeks, I encourage you to take an hour of family time to sit down and read this very important publication the Parent & Student Handbook which is located on the schools website here. It contains pertinent information regarding school life.
Throughout the year, I will refer to various rules and regulations contained in this publication, as will your sons Teachers, Advisor and Housemaster. While all the information is relevant, the section entitled, "Community Standards, Regulations and Guidelines" is vitally important. For current students, all changes for this years handbook are written in red.
Since verbal messages concerning school rules are often not heard, we have compiled most of the information that you will need to know for the 2009/2010 school year into this document. Every year, we request that new parents and their sons sign a contract which stipulates that they have read the handbook and agree to abide by the rules and regulations contained therein.
Please print page 7 of this document, A Contract with Students and Parents, and page 8, SAC Activities Waiver and Permission Agreement. Complete both forms, and return them by fax 905.841.6911 or mail, before September 8th. Students will not be allowed to attend classes if these forms have not been returned.
St. Andrews College is not an ordinary place. This is a special environment which provides abundant opportunities for boys to mature and excel. Students are strongly encouraged to become actively involved in all that this great school has to offer. I am looking forward to another exciting year of student successes. I look forward to seeing you in September.
