"You can never really understand how prepared you are for university until you actually get there and see for yourself. Even now, in my second year, I am still discovering how being an Andrean has enabled me to accomplish so much. After my first week, I sent an email to my philosophy teacher, Mr. Rush, thanking him for preparing me for university lectures. From note taking to readings and research, Andreans are taught how to cope and excel in various disciplines. Aside from academics, St. Andrew’s also gave me incredible experience especially through its amazing arts program. As a drama major, I have had to call on past experiences in the arts for so many facets of my studies. The experience I have gained from being an Andrean has helped me in acting and directing in professional productions and even in serving on the Board of Directors for Queen’s Musical Theatre. St. Andrew’s taught me how to balance my time and all my activities so I could get the most from my experiences, whether that be as a student, actor, director, board member, campus tour guide, orientation leader or any of my roles here at Queen’s. I owe a great deal to St. Andrew’s for all it has given me, and I am incredibly proud to be an Andrean."

"More than anything, St. Andrew’s College has become a part of my character. It has instilled in me a foundational hunger to pursue not only the ambitions of the mind and the betterment of physical condition, but also the passions of the soul. Thanks to the slew of academic and extra-curricular activity that accompanied each productive and rewarding day at St. Andrew’s, the rigors of university life are familiar and easily manageable."

"My four years at St. Andrew’s were undoubtedly the most formative I have had thus far. As a boarder from Mexico City, I was looking for a school that offered challenging academics and a wide array of extracurricular opportunities. I found both at St. Andrew’s. But the greatest thing about SAC is not its fantastic academic and extracurricular offerings, or its superb faculty and facilities it is its unique community. The Andrean community is vibrant, supportive, welcoming, and most importantly, enormously conducive to personal growth. SAC gives you every opportunity to succeed, but it also expects you to make the most of your experience. Whether in the classroom, on the playing field, or on stage, students are encouraged to find their voice and to pursue their ambitions. Life at SAC was often hectic and busy, and the time management skills that I developed made my transition to university life much easier. I am also forever indebted to St. Andrew’s incredible drama program for instilling in me a love for acting, an activity I’ve continued to pursue at Yale.

"Attending St. Andrew's College has been the most fulfilling experience of my life thus far. It was through the many experiences, trials, and tribulations there that I truly found myself as a person, and that in itself has prepared me as an individual not just for the academic and emotional rigours of my time at university, but for life as a whole. The academic foundations which were laid at SAC have withstood the test of university life, and the close bonds of friendship which were made at SAC have also withstood the test of time and distance. The friends that I met at SAC have now become like brothers to me, and I am very grateful to St. Andrew's for allowing me the opportunity not just to meet such wonderful friends but also to have been guided by such dedicated teachers and mentors. The bonds made at SAC are of the strongest kind, and to be apart of such a community makes me immensely proud. It is with great pride and satisfaction that I have gone into the world striving to promote the values and principals that were taught to me as an Andrean. I will always be indebted to SAC for all it has given me, and I will always be a proud Andrean."
